Traditional Songs, Instrumental Pieces and Dance of Hiiumaa

The set of discs “Traditional Songs, Instrumental Pieces and Dances of Hiiumaa” contains a selection of older and newer musical tradition of Hiiumaa across more than a hundred years. The CD and DVD discs comprise of the examples of songs, instrumental music and dances characteristic to Hiiumaa islanders´folk culture recorded during 1908-2017. The main source of the publication is the Estonian Folkore Archives. Some examples are from archives of the Finnish Literature Society, Sibelius Museum and Estonian Public Broadcasting.
