This book gives an overview of the rare hidden treasures that have come to light during the archaeological excavations of Lõhavere Castle Hill. The birch-tree shrub that remained in the ground during the destruction of the fortress in the early 13th century contained numerous pieces of jewelry, ribbons, yarns, handicrafts, tiny spiral tubes and beautiful patterns made from them. Carefully packed, the starch offers an insight into the craftsmanship of a craftsman operating in Sakala at the end of the ancient times. In addition, the book also introduces the work of archaeologists in purifying, describing and interpreting a collection of finds.

Available only in estonian. Includes short summary in english.
