Look Around

Studia Vernacula is an annual publication of the Department of Estonian Native Crafts of the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. The magazine focuses on researching handicrafts, skills and material cultural heritage. The emphasis on skills is something that makes the magazine appealing to craftsmen with an academic background, to national science researchers and to the wider readership.

The 2020 issue focuses on understanding and developing cultural heritage.
In addition to various exciting articles, this publication also includes reviews of last autumn’s craft science conference and the world’s largest exhibition of Muhu socks.
