Landscapes of My Fatherland

Anu Raud’s personal exhibition “Landscapes of My Fatherland” catalogue includes the textile artist’s biography as well as 40 reproductions of her tapestries. Every catalogue owner has the opportunity to set up their own exhibition on the wall or to have a repro framed and give it as a gift to a friend. The catalogue also includes 7 black and white tapestry drafts that can be coloured by the owner.
Anu Raud is one of the most recognized textile artists, whose lucid sense of life is always on time and who has dedicated her life to teaching. The works displayed at the exhibition form an entirety. In addition to her legendary works “The Collectors”, “Kiln-drying Barn” and “Nordic Night”, a number of entirely new rugs, dedicated to the centennial of the Republic of Estonia, are on display, including the title tapestry “Landscapes of My Fatherland”. The exhibition is accompanied with the drawings and photos by her students that depict the inspiring milieu of Raud’s homestead at Kääriku.
